Victoria & Dobby
I was so happy to find Tanya when I was looking for a Canicross trainer.
Not only did she have extensive knowledge and experience in the sport, but she also had a great understanding of dog behaviour and training methods. Tanya took the time to get to know me and my dog, assess our fitness levels and abilities. Her passion for Canicross was contagious, and she was always upbeat, positive, and encouraging during our sessions. She provided clear and concise instructions on technique, pacing, and safety, and she was always attentive to my dog's needs and well-being.
Thanks to Tanya, my dog and I are now regular runners, and we both look forward to our training sessions together. I highly recommend her to anyone interested in this sport - whether you're a seasoned runner or a novice, and whether you have a high-energy dog or a more laid-back companion. You won't be disappointed!
Emma & Duque
We rescued Duque when he was 3 years old. He had been born in Spain during lockdown and we don’t think he had been socialised or spent much time outside. As a result he was reactive to other dogs and nervous, but he was full of energy and loved to run.
I found Tanya’s website and booked a 1:1 canicross session. Tanya was great at explaining the kit and giving Duque the space he needed to try on the harness. We set off with Tanya’s dog Tilly leading the way and Duque followed. He took to it instantly and pulled like he had been doing it all his life! It was lovely to see him run alongside Tilly and follow her lead without being afraid.
We have been to lots of group sessions since and Duque’s confidence to be around other dogs has really grown. It feels like a really safe space for us to be, as Tanya has a great understanding of dog behaviour. She always makes sure Duque has his space when he needs it and he really enjoys running as part of a pack now. Canicross gives Duque an outlet for all his energy and he is happiest when he is focused with a job to do. We even enter races together now, which he loves.
I would highly recommend Tanya to anyone with a nervous dog who wants to give them something enriching and confidence building to do - a way to focus, enjoy themselves, and socialise in a calm, positive way.
Sophie & Orca
We've been to several 'fur and friends Socials' with Tanya. She takes the time to really get to know all the people and dogs and caters to every level of fitness and size of dog! She is very knowledgeable when it comes to the correct kit and has made some great recommendations.
Dogs and humans welfare is her priority. Everyone is really friendly and we always have lots of fun whatever the weather! There is a really welcoming and relaxed atmosphere within the groups. Tanya is great at encouraging best practice and we always leave feeling like we have learnt a little bit more about Canicross.
Every session has been in a beautiful area and we are always led on a great route. There are lots of small breaks and treats for the dogs and Tanya always takes great photos and videos that she shares afterwards. The best part are the homemade treats for both humans and dogs at the end!
Gavin & Jack
I have recently taken up Canicross following a training session with Tanya.
I'd been running with my dog Jack, free and on lead for a few months to improve fitness but also for something to do other than the usual dog walks. I was looking for a new hobby after retiring from rugby a few seasons back.
I saw Canicross on Social media and a friend recommended I look at the DogFit website where I booked a training session with a local Trainer.
I met Tanya in January at a nearby location, she lent me some kit and helped me fit it properly. Then off we went, uphill, down dale, through mud and water, woodland and trails. Jack was a natural, loved every minute and pulled really well.
Tanya’s instructions were simple, and her advice sound. I loved the session and was instantly hooked - I knew I would be buying kit soon afterwards. Tanya even brought some liver cake with her which Jack appreciated greatly!
Jack and I recently competed in a 10k race so think it’s fair to say we’ve found our new pastime. All thanks to Tanya for showing us how.

Tail Tracks Canicross is so much fun.
I was looking for a way to exercise my dog in a safe way that is fun for us both.
Tanya is amazingly warm, friendly and encouraging and took things at our pace.
We love joining in on their group runs. I can highly recommend.
Anita & Molly
Last year training for London marathon, running became a chore and lost its fun.
Thank you Tanya and Tilly for bringing back the joy of running.
Plenty of slipping and sliding in the mud, laughter and Molly absolutely loved Canicross.
Juliette & Humphrey
Thank you Tanya and Tilly for such a fun and informative morning. I could see that Humphrey was enjoying every minute running through the forest, getting muddy and meeting Tilly. I felt really safe and nurtured in the session, always going at a pace that felt good for me.
The session enabled me to learn the basics of Canicross with clear and concise instructions.
Tanya is so knowledgeable about dogs and always puts their welfare first, which made us feel really safe in the session.
I'm really excited to build our fitness now and continue our Canicross journey.
Claire & Milo
We really enjoyed the 121, very much our kind of running. I’m excited to get Milo out at the weekend to get practicing all that we have learnt!
Thank you, great session and coaching.
Will definitely be joining your group runs in the future!
Ingrid & Hank
I really enjoyed the sessions of Canincross with Tanya.
Even after one session I have seen the improvement of me and my dog Hank being more relaxed and enjoying the run.
She gave me lots of tips and I've learned new skills which I am now applying in my running.
